Day 01: Islamabad Arrival and overnight Islamabad 14th Sat

Your journey begins as one of our friendly representatives greets you at Islamabad Airport, ensuring a smooth transfer to your hotel. After a refreshing break, we’ll embark on a fascinating tour of the city. Our first stop is the iconic Islamabad Monument, marvel at its grandeur and intricate architecture, while soaking in panoramic views of the city.

Next, we’ll visit the majestic Faisal Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world, renowned for its striking design and serene ambiance. As the sun begins to set, we’ll venture to the picturesque Margalla Hills, offering breathtaking vistas of Islamabad’s skyline. Indulge in a delightful dinner amidst the tranquil ambiance, overlooking the illuminated city below.

 

Day 02: Islamabad to Kalkot – homestay in Kalkot 15th Sun

Following breakfast, our expedition commences towards Kumrat Valley. Along the way, you’ll witness the bustling bazaars of Timergara, offering a vivid contrast to the urban landscape of Islamabad. We’ll pause for a delightful lunch at Chakdarra before continuing our journey to our homestay in Kalkot, where we’ll spend the night immersed in the warmth of local hospitality and the tranquility of the valley’s natural beauty.

 

Day 03: Kumrat Valley tour, overnight glamping 16th Mon

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll start our day with a memorable morning spent with our gracious hosts, immersing ourselves in their warm hospitality and learning more about the local culture. Then, we’ll embark on a picturesque drive into the heart of Kumrat Valley. Along the way, we’ll make stops at captivating sites such as Kala Chasma and the breathtaking Kumrat Waterfall. Here, amidst nature’s splendor, we’ll indulge in a leisurely lunch and an afternoon tea, rejuvenating ourselves amidst the serene surroundings. As the sun begins to set, we’ll arrive at our glamping site, where we’ll settle in and unwind, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of Kumrat Valley.

 

Day 04: Back to Kalkot – homestay 17th Tue

Today, we’ll ease into the day with a relaxed start, savoring breakfast by the riverbank. Afterward, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting woods. As midday approaches, we’ll gradually make our way back to our homestay in Kalkot, taking our time to enjoy a delightful lunch and refreshing tea amidst the picturesque landscapes along the way.

 

Day 05: Kalkot to Kalash Valley 18th Wed

Today our journey leads us towards the captivating region of Kalash, a drive spanning approximately 5 hours. Along the way, we’ll traverse through the bustling bazaars of Dir, renowned for their vibrant atmosphere and diverse array of goods. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore local markets, perhaps indulging in some souvenir shopping. Dir is particularly famous for its traditional caps and intricately crafted knives. We’ll arrive at the alluring Kalash Valley towards the evening, where a world of ancient traditions and fascinating customs awaits us.

 

Day 06: Kalash and surroundings – overnight in Ayun Kalash 19th Thur

Today will be laid-back and enjoyable. We’ll spend time in the lovely gardens of the inn and take a short hike through nearby villages. In the afternoon, we’ll take a brief drive to Kalash, where we’ll meet the locals and learn about their captivating culture and traditions.

 

Day 07: Kalash to Peshawar, Charsi Tikka / Bazar 20th Fri

Following breakfast, we’ll commence our return journey, anticipating a lengthy drive ahead. En-route, we’ll pause for a lunch break at Chakdara before continuing towards our destination, Peshawar, expected to reach by evening. Upon arrival, we’ll freshen up at the hotel and then venture out to explore the vibrant local bazaar from some bargains, perhaps an afghani rug, and have dinner at the renowned charsi tikka and shinwari.

 

Day 08: Islamabad – local sight-seeing / shopping and farewell dinner 21st  Sun

In the mid-morning, we’ll bid farewell to the tranquility of our journey and make our way back to the hustle and bustle of Islamabad, reentering city life. With the day at our disposal, we’ll seize the opportunity for any last-minute shopping, exploring the bustling markets and boutiques of the city. As the evening approaches, we’ll retreat to the serene ambiance of Saidpur Village for a relaxing farewell dinner, reminiscing about the memories made during our adventure.

 

Day 08: Peshawar to Lahore 22nd Mon

We’re embarking on a journey to Lahore, often described as “one who hasn’t seen Lahore, hasn’t seen anything”. Anticipating our arrival by evening, we’ll check into our accommodations before venturing out to experience the vibrant culture and delectable cuisine of the city.

 

Day 09: Badshahi Masjid / Jehangir Fort / Shalimar Gardens / Masjid Wazir Khan and Walled City Lahore 23rd Tue

Our day in Lahore begins with a visit to the iconic Badshahi Masjid, followed by a tour of the Jehangir Fort and the serene Shalimar Gardens, immersing ourselves in the city’s rich Mughal heritage. We’ll then explore the vibrant Walled City, marveling at the intricate beauty of Masjid Wazir Khan and soaking in the lively atmosphere of its bustling bazaars.

As evening descends, we’ll make our way to the Wagah Border for the mesmerizing flag lowering ceremony, a symbol of the enduring rivalry and camaraderie between India and Pakistan. This unforgettable experience will be a fitting conclusion to our day, leaving us with lasting memories of Lahore’s cultural richness and historical grandeur.
